Dr. Shiv Sharma
Dr. Sharma’s interests include pediatrics, ocular disease, dry eye disease, and primary care. He is passionate about providing cutting-edge eye care to his patients and is a strong proponent of educating patients about their vision and eye health so that they can be better informed and play a more active role.
D. Sharma serves as the Clinical Director of Optiview Eye Clinic.

Dr. Rajan Sidhu
Dr. Sidhu was raised in North Delta, British Columbia. He completed his Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University in Oregon, graduating with Distinction Dr. Sidhu is passionate about improving health and wellness in his community and has vast clinical experience at various medical centers in both Canada and the United States concentrating in pediatrics, ocular disease, and family eyecare.

Dr. Kavdeep Kang
Dr. Kang has acquired an array of clinical experience after practicing in two different countries. She trained at the Royal Derby Hospital in England and worked in private practice in a high ocular disease population, focusing on diabetes, cataract, glaucoma, and macular degeneration management.

Dr. Sharon Wong
Dr. Wong has worked in academic eye research (PhD and Pearson medal from University of Waterloo), published scientific articles, presented at international conferences, and taught at Montreal, Waterloo, and Queen’s universities. She worked in low vision rehabilitation and subsequently at an ophthalmology clinic in where she directed an Optometric Residency Program in affiliation with Pacific University College of Optometry.

Our Surrey Optometrists are accepting new patients of all ages. A referral is not needed to see us – patients may schedule an appointment directly by calling us at 604-593-5534 or schedule an appointment online. All patients are encouraged to bring their current list of medications, any prescription eyeglasses and/or contact lenses, and a list of allergies to their appointment. Our optometry clinic is wheelchair accessible.
Optical Department
We locally manufacture high quality eyeglasses and custom eyewear for patients of all ages and our staff have a combined for 50+ years of experience in the professional fitting and production of custom eyewear. Our in house optical also allows for replacement of lenses in existing eyeglass frames when your prescription changes. We carry a wide range of lenses to fit all budgets and price points including stock lenses and custom digital freeform lenses available in single vision, progressive, office / specialized task, anti-fatigue, myopia control, and more. We are able to coat all our lenses with anti-glare, transitions, blue-blocker, polarized, sunglass tint, mirror-tint, scratch resistance, fog resistance, and more. We can also produce customized lenses with prism, bifocal flat tops, round-segs, and more. Direct Billing For Eye Exams, Eyeglasses, Prescription Sunglasses, and Contact Lenses
Did you know that we can direct bill most major insurance plans? You can save on out of pocket costs for eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses with our Telus eHealth enabled billing software. Many health insurance plans including GreenShield, BlueCross, Sunlife, Great West Life, Desjardins, and more are eligible for direct billing by our front desk staff for eye care services and products. Frequently Asked Questions
You should schedule your child’s first eye exam between six and twelve months of age. Even at this young age our optometrists are able to assess refractive error, amblyopia and strabismus, hand-eye coordination, ocular health, and more.
Children between the age of 6 months and 19 should have an eye exam at least once a year. Adults 19-64 should have a routine eye exam every two years. Seniors 65+ should have an eye exam every year.
However, if any new onset blur, eye pain, visual disturbances, or signs of eye disease occur then please schedule an appointment immediately.
Please bring a list of all medications and allergies, all current pairs of glasses (if applicable). If you are a soft contact lens wearer please try to remove your contact lenses at 24 hours prior to your appointment if possible. If you wear RGPs (rigid gas permeable or hard contact lenses) please try to avoid wearing them for 72 hours before your appointment.
Its recommended to bring a driver with you to your eye exam in case we need to dilate your eyes.

Our adult eye exams are $135 and include Optomap imaging and OCT.
Seniors eye exams are $75 and include Optomap imaging and OCT.
Kids eye exam are covered by MSP with no surcharge. Optomap imaging is available for kids for an additional $35 which may be covered by your private insurance plan. Prices above are the same for both of our Surrey locations.
LASIK surgery may be a great option for patients who want vision correction without the need for glasses and contact lenses. There are several factors involved in deciding whether LASIK is a good option including age, refractive error, history of eye disease, and more. Our Optometrists can help discuss refractive surgery options during your eye exam and schedule you to one of our recommended eye surgery centres.

Optiview Eye Clinic – Surrey/Delta is located at 106-7500 120th Street, Surrey, BC. Free parking is available outside. This office is close to Shoppers Drug Mart Scott Road and HSBC and has been serving patients in the Surrey area for over 20 years.
Optiview Eye Clinic – South Surrey is located at 104-15240 56th Avenue. Free parking is available outside. This office is close to Canadian Western Bank, Brown’s Social House, and A&W.
Bifocal glasses have two separate optical zones, one for distance vision correction and the second lower boxed portion for near vision correction.
Progressive lenses or no line bifocals have to distinct box and can correct all visual distances including distance, intermediate, and near.
An Optometrist, or Doctor of Optometry, is a primary health care provider who can diagnose and treat eye diseases and disorders of the visual system. This can include prescribing glasses or contact lenses to correct or improve a patient’s visual acuity or prescribing medications or other treatments to treat eye diseases like glaucoma, dry eye disease, pink eye (conjunctivitis), styes, and more. To become an Optometrist a 4 year undergraduate degree is generally required in addition to a 4 year Doctor of Optometry degree for a total of 8 years of education.
